  1. Kotaku put up a gameplay video of the arcade version for those interested: http://kotaku.com/5260547/this-is-a-new-ki...railer-watch-it
  2. That is the pic that kotaku posted with their article about Nintendo initially being told to "muscle up" the Pokemon if they wanted to succeed with it in North America. Glad they didn't, that could have been the second coming of M.U.S.C.L.E. Could you imagine Pikachu crossed with Hulk Hogan? Team Rocket would probably be Lita and maybe Jeff Hardy from WWE. This could get messy.
  3. Some days it just makes you proud to be an American don't it? Kotaku covered this one.
  4. Kotaku has some more information on GTA Chinatown Wars on DS/DSi sales numbers for March (4,684 copies per day with 19 days on sale) and April (2,642 copies per day with 28 days of sale). In perspective there are 827,000 new DSi owners now (the article was posted on May 18th 2009 but gives no date for the DSi sales number).
  5. Ghostbusters celebrates 25 years since the release of the first movie this year and Atari are capitolizing on the special year. Got any stories about the movies or past games for systems like Commodore 64, NES or Gameboy or others?
  6. And the rollercoaster ride we are on with 3D Realms starts to climb another hill with what appears to be a nasty corkscrew on the other side. Now 3D Realms claims they are not closing. They just released the team that was working on Duke Nukem Forever and will still venture to publish games about Duke in the future: There is more just click the link here. Thanks kotaku for the info.
  7. If only more cosplayers were able to bring this type of imagination to the art form, at least in execution (if you are doing a fighting game character and can, why not have someone else do one too and act out a fight or something, poses are cool, but do something). That brings me to this next Cosplay Taken to the Next Level, Mirror's Edge, with a little teamwork they have gone beyond just recreating the main character. Check out the flickr page for more pics. Check out Pixelated Girl's site for more pics from a different shoot and also a making of video.
  8. Really? I know they are trying to get into banking the US. The clinic thing isn't owned by Wal-Mart it is a completely outside company "renting" space for their business (much like the optometrist's in most Wal-Marts.
  9. I am sure everyone has seen cosplay pics, mostly stuff where it was simple matter of making some alterations to some clothes or makeup. Judith Stephens, a photographer and obvious horror game fan, created the below scene and more at flickr account. For more, click on this link (be warned, some of this stuff is quite gross-if you have played Silent Hill before then you know what I mean).
  10. Don't forget, in Florida they are doing a test run of having a low cost health clinic in the front (like they have eye glass companies and hair stylists and such). Also, they are trying to get into banking too for those interested in the monopoly known as Wal-Mart. Redbox isn't owned by Wal-Mart is it? I mean, here in Arkansas we have Redbox at fast food places and even at a couple gas stations. Back on topic, I don't try to sell my games and stuff unless it is either dire consequences or I can't pass up the money offered.
  11. Check out the news story on Kotaku about "suggestive themes" or the lack there of.
  12. Thanks to Kotaku for the text and pic. No word on if it will be a "working" model (but with the word statue being there it may require the Ghostbusters to get it animated).
  13. Yeah, pretty much. lol Here is another game thanks to kotaku for the info: Click the link for more pics (they are small or I would have posted them here too.
  14. It would be great if they would just release a few shots, maybe of a scene or two to build interest and for people to see what they are in for.
  15. 3D Realms response to the lawsuit boils down to... "what money?" http://kotaku.com/5257517/3d-realms-miller...+two-nukem-suit

    Hello,

Hey morphor, how is everything? Welcome to Retromags, it is good to have you hear. Take a look around, we have a lot going on right now so if it takes a little bit to get a reply to a question, please bare with us.
  17. Honestly, it is up to you. I am not one to detach the poster from the magazine, others may do it. It is really personal preference. At the least, scan the pages you can and just post that there is a poster (possibly of what if you can) so that someone else may be able to scan it from an issue that is damaged or something. Like the Nintendo Power mags have posters that are 3 pages pull out style but Gamepro had 2x2 posters which had to be detached to see the whole thing. Thanks for scanning those issues, I am sure we are all looking forward to having those issues get the project that much closer to complete.
  18. Dragmire and Pelago, welcome to Retromags, we all hope that you enjoy your stay here. Pelago, I am trying to get ahold of some members that I know of in the UK but have had no luck yet (hopefully some others may see your post and reply to it). Dragmire, congrats on getting that Gamepro (not much is going across ebay in the older category right now). Don't worry about the corners being bent, that is normal, most of the time it won't even show up in the scan (just straighten them out and put plenty of pressure on the issue while scanning-suggestion, a thicker magazine will do wonders, just turn it where the spines are opposite of each other). Try to scan at 300 DPI also.
