4 issues were printed. Didn't last long at all. Here is a little bit of info on it, Super Gaming was #2 on this list. http://www.games.net/article/feature/11738...that-died-fast/ Now to start looking for those 4 issues...

Just pick an issue that you want to release (makes it easier to stay motivated and to see it through). Any release will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kbf. She is a wonderful lady. She has done all kinds of things for me that I really probably didn't deserve (she spent countless hours scanning pages till she was able to get the scanner settings just right so the pages would come out better-she did this while I was at work). She scours ebay for various deals on magazines (the ones that get mentioned and referenced as possible deals are mostly her recommendations). She was trying at one point to put everything in a spreadsheet but abandoned that after realizing it was such a big amount of information and not being able to find a favorable way of doing it with all of the releases (also she saw that E-Day was doing something similar and with better results). She is a wonderful woman. Here is the cake that I found on the computer: She told me, after seeing that I saw it, that she was going to have that, or at least one close, at the wedding as a surprise for me (she wanted that to be our wedding cake). As you can probably tell, she is a big Mario fan. Here is another nice gaming themed wedding cake (anyone got any without Mario?):

I, personally, have never played it, it simply doesn't look like something I would be into. As you can tell though, there are obviously some fans of the game.

Ever wonder how Ben Heck makes those portable SNES's, PSOne's or Atari 2600 systems? Well, now you can recreate them yourself with the release of Hacking Videogame Consoles. Here is a clip from the official site: If you have Adobe Illustrator you can get additional files from the web page showing you how to do it, make changes or just learn more about the process.

Yep, an unopened copy of Earthbound recently sold on ebay for over $1000.00! Check out GoNintendo for more info on this, apparently recession proof, game. Thanks to kotaku.com for the pic.

Guess What Is Coming To Psp?
triverse replied to triverse's topic in Current Generation Video Gaming!
I personally loved the PSP version of God of War (it is the only game like that I have played). Check out Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, basically two player bejeweled with some RPG elements thrown in (it is more fun than it sounds). Here is a demo of the PC version. If you are into Mario 64 type gameplay (3D action/adventure collectathons) then you may be interested in Daxter, Rachet and Clank: Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank. Classic gaming is represented well on PSP also with Capcom Classics Collection Remixed and Reloaded offering quite a few great games from the arcades on the go (there are also a few releases from SNK focusing on Metal Slug, King of Fighters-coming soon I think- and Samurai Shodown-also coming soon I believe). Twisted Metal: Head On is a great version of TM and is a lot of fun if you are into vehicular battles. I have a soft spot for the Virtua Tennis games from Sega (I hate sports titles but find myself playing these all the time on PSP and Dreamcast). If you are into fighters you can get Tekken: Dark Resurrection, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Darkstalkers and there is the coming soon Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and Tekken 6 games and not to forget there are a couple Guilty Gear games available too. Hope that helps you out a little bit. -
OK, for those of you not in my inner circle of buddies here, I am getting married on October 3rd of this year. With that in mind, my fiancee has found some very interesting gaming themed cakes. Has anyone else found one of interest? I will start this thread off with: Thanks to Kotaku.com for the pic

Looks interesting, Craveonline says it best: Check out the poster:

Batman is not only in good graces with movie goes but is attempting at getting back in good with gamers (what was the last good Batman game? Sunsofts Genesis/NES game?). Arkham Asylum is coming to PS3 and XBox 360 and PC's originally slated for a June 2009 release it is now listed as "coming at the end of Summer 2009." The Joker as revealed by craveonline Check out the pic collection Kotaku.com has up of various scenes and enemies that were taken down quickly from the devlopers website that were caught by NeoGaf member Endless (if you have an account over there, tell Endless thanks for the pics and that Retromags sent ya!). Check out Batman Arkham Asylum.com for more information, and also the worst background image to use for a news section at the bottom there. A heads up for those torn between the XBox 360 and PS3 versions. The Joker is to be a free DLC for the PS3 version according to Craveonline! More updates to come.

Got a hankering for the classics that were there in the beginning of gaming as it took off in the, well for lack of a better term, Big Bang? XBox Live has you covered with this weeks releases then because they got not one but two classics, all jazzed up and spiffified for the new generation of gamers in Space Invaders Extreme (800 points) and Arkanoid Live! (800 points). Kotaku.com covered these two games along with Zombie Wranglers (800 points). Check out Arkanoid Live! Space Invaders Extreme Zombie Wranglers Thanks to Xbox.com for the pics and game info pages.

Thanks to Kotaku.com for this pic and article, not something I really see a market for but there may be interest in it. They are coming sometime this month to select retailers.

I liked the Mummy one a lot. Thought for sure when I watched it that I was going to hate it (thought it was just trying to be a spoof of Indiana Jones and was going to suck hard). I came away liking it alot. Gave part 2 a shot and wasn't left with the same feeling I had from part 1 (though it is better than most of the crap that gets played on cable right now, but it could have been so much better). I always pictured the Baroness being older, like in her early 40's, at least that is the image I got from the cartoon. Can't wait to see this though (plus the new Transformers is coming soon too).

Due to the overwhelming amount of fun and interesting things happened in May 1999, 1994 and 1989 Retromags is doing a three part look at May in History. Without further ado, Retromags presents Part 2 of May in History: 15 years ago, we were in the midst of the .com starting to boom and everyone was thinking there were millions of millions of dollars to make in the stock market, or they were starting to think that. Windows 95 was still known by it's codename, 'Chicago' and Microsoft were working hard to get it ready for launch later in the year. In Formula 1 racing, May saw the passing of Ayrton Senna (who had a couple of Genesis racing games released by Sega) in a tragic accident while racing in the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy. The Channel Tunnel was completed after taking over 7 years and 15,000 workers connecting England and France for the first time. We also saw the execution of John Wayne Gacy this month in Illinois. On the brighter side, this is the month that Canada makes Hockey their official Winter Sport. On the magazine front, Gamepro celebrated it's 5th anniversary this year.In general entertainment we got The Crow and The Flintstones (come on who knows all of the words to the theme song-no cheating) debuted in theaters. Weezer (you can type their name with just the left hand, did you know that?) released their first album and started their walk towards stardom. We heard "Space, the final frontier..." for the last time when Star Trek the Next Generation ended it's 7 year run, the last "whoop whoop" sounded with Arsenio Hall and his talk show also. Rugrats says goodbye till 1997, how many are young enough to have been in the demographic? Capcom dropped Alien vs Predator in arcades, Acclaim kicked off soccer with Champions World Class Soccer for SNES, Data East saw fit to release the sequel to one of their cult hits with Joe and Mac II: Lost in the Tropics only on SNES (the first game hit NES and Genesis), Mortal Kombat spills blood on Sega CD thanks to Acclaim. These are the issues you may have seen in your mailbox or on the news stands: EGM #58 here Game Players here Gamepro #58 here Nintendo Magasinet #39 here Nintendo Power #60 here Contributors to this section: azzardx BarbieOnWeed kbf_private_joker Phillyman Links to the other two parts: 1999 1989

Those were not 'actual' side by side previews, they are one pic of the two pages sized down. Those are were resized to 700 width, now they are 480 width so it should be better.

What is your definition of a hardcore, dedicated gamer? How about someone that works for 7 months on a game for the first time ever in their lives, learning to program as they went along? Did I mention they did it working on freely available (not officially licensed) software for developing NES games? Think it is impossible? Think the game is going to look or play horribly? Check this out: That is the cover of the May 2009 issue of the NintendoAge e-zine with Frogger Ultimate Championship on it. It is a newly programmed game for the NES, yes the original Nintendo Entertainment System as programmed by Kevin Hanley (NintendoAge e-zine layout manager). Check out the cart for it (yes this is going to be a release, actual release that you can buy and play on your NES system). Below is a pic of the actual cart for doubters. Getting the Most out of the NintendoAge Price Guide - Dan Langevin - Details some of the hard work that goes into making the price guide and how to use it to better your collecting with auction site Ebay. Don't miss out on taking advantage of this great price guide as it may save you a few bucks on ebay (prices are averaged from the last 3 months of sales of the titles on ebay and not representative, nor a guarantee that you will get the same price if selling, or pay the same price if buying). Here are a few excerpts of interest from the price guide: Some interesting price guide facts: Highest Priced game: Stadium Events at $1377.00 Biggest Jump in price: Stadium Events at $513.00 Biggest Drop in price: Hot Slots at -$64 Tired of those high ebay fees? Getting sick of handing money over fist to ebay twice (they own paypal people)? Check out this comparative article between ebay and Chase the Chuck Wagon article by Scott Burke, both offer online auctions to members and both accept paypal (but you aren't forced to us PP with CtCW like you are with ebay). Want to guesstimate how much you are losing to ebay in fees alone? If so, check out the handy little chart at the end of the article for an eye opener. Remember the Nintendo World Championships that Nintendo used to put on? Check out the article, Post NWC Endeavors by Robin Mihara, for some interesting tidbits about the behind the scenes goings on and even learn a little about a possible scandal or two. Upload a couple of pages from your release so that they can be checked (or if you want to upload whole release you can upload it to Rapidshare or Megaupload with no problem). It is just a cautionary measure. After someone can check your stuff, someone will get you the FTP information (where you upload for the file to be in your "configured downloads directory").

It is the twitter plugin that is causing the 'width' problems. I mainly pay attention to the recent posts so it doesn't bother me but I figured it may be interesting to others.

Thank you so much for making this topic, I was out of the room when that commercial played (rewound and found it). Looks awesome-loved The Mummy 1 and 2 wasn't that bad so I have high hopes for this. The Baroness (Sienna Miller) looks awesome and Scarlet (Rachel Nichols), well when does she not look good? Definitely on my watch ASAP list.

According to VG247.com, you can get the Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection demo on XBox Live now (about 100 megs) which includes Streets of Rage 3, Space Harrier and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Also, rumoured is Gunstar Heroes getting a re-release on XBox Live.

eh, that image is gone and the page is still the same. Doesn't bother me personally.

Check out Yahoo Games' coverage of the Dreamcast in this video. Anyone got any more information on similar news items? Left Coast Games has the Dreamcast new for 77.92EUR.

I wish I knew what issue EGM did it in but they mistakenly called one of the head honchos from Konami by the wrong name in a pic then the next month I believe they apologized but then did the same thing to a Capcom representative. It was funny. Also, VG&CE and Gamefan had some snafus (GF had that whole racial attack on the Japanese as a people thing happen).
