  1. I am using an older (non widescreen) monitor. The Front Page changed for me when that pic for the MvC2 was posted, thinking it will go back after that is dropped from the FP.
  2. Heads up, Street Fighter 4 on PC is slated for July 2009....on steam. No word on a retail release (surely there will be one).
  3. More PSOne games coming, the list below was recently spotted on the ESRB.com website. Thanks to the Examiner for the heads up on this. Medal of Honor Spyro: Year of the Dragon Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Street Fighter Alpha 2 Street Fighter Alpha 3 Wipeout XL From that list, I am interested in the Spyro's (how come no number one though?) and Wipeout XL (where is part 3?).
  4. Check out the article below thanks to Gameist.com, nothing bad or horrible here. http://gameist.com/articles/attractive-qua...of-gamer-girls/
  5. What does $1500 get you nowadays when dealing with prototypes and unreleased games? NintendoAge, a group of fanatics that are working on releasing previously unreleased NES games and producing a monthly E-Zine about gaming in general around the Nintendo have recently released their 18th E-Zine, with Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch on the cover. This group takes their hobby one step farther, Dain Anderson says it best here, In the newest issue of Nintendo Age E-Zine, not only is the sequel that almost never was released, Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch featured, but read the retro-review of Tron, follow Michael Swanson through the steps he took in cataloging his collection and get some tips you might be able to use with your own collection. Follow Justin Klingenmeyer through a hunt in the wild looking for games in the Local Hunting 101 column. Every issue has a price guide based on the sell values from ebay and is obviously a labor of love for the NES community that shows through the amount of detail contained within. Get your copy of the PDF version at NintendoAge today! Get the CBZ resized to 1440 File removed-May 4th 2009 Check out NintendoAge for much more news and information than is contained in the e-zine.
  6. I thought about going and resizing the pics but wasn't sure how it would be taken. I don't know about resizing the front page by taking away the right column. I mean, where would you put that stuff? On the bottom of the left column or just get rid of it?
  7. nickerous, a new member here has been able to scan, edit and release his first issue with Retromags, and it is a great issue to get started with, SNES Buyer's Guide #1. Inside is packed with mini reviews of many games available for the SNES so if you are interested in SNES games at all, you need to check out this release as it is a wealth of information in one place. I have been able to work with nickerous on various points throughout the process of getting this issue out and have been fortunate enough to meet a dedicated member as evidenced in the below statement from Nickerous. Here are a couple excerpts from the issue to give you a taste of the quality inside: Get the SNES Buyer's Guide Issue #1 here and when you are done, why not come back and let nickerous know what you think about it!
  8. Looks scrunched up don't it? I think it is the size of the pics in the News items that is messing up the way it looks.
  9. I have a feeling Game Informer will be left off of the next scan vote...
  10. You would think attending your own would get you a "get out of attanding weddings" card but nope, it just ends up getting your name on more wedding invite lists.
  11. You can get a single sheet at Wal-Mart I think, for less than $1 (or a pack of 50 for something like $3.50).
  12. Thanks to Gamasutra for their very detailed and in depth look at Midway and their current situation, and how they probably got in this mess. http://gamasutra.com/news?story=23393

  17. Due to the overwhelming amount of fun and interesting things happened in May 1999, 1994 and 1989 Retromags is doing a three part look at May in History. Without further ado, Retromags presents Part 1 of May in History: What were you doing in May of 1999? Maybe working out plans for your version of the Y2K scare (that never happened) or maybe you were one of the last graduating high school students of the 20th century? Maybe you were standing in line to view Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace in theaters or were you more into the comedy/action adventure The Mummy starring Brendan Fraser? Do you remember seeing the final episode of Tool Time? Or were you there for the start of a phenomenon when the world first heard that first annoying laugh from Spongebob Squarepants? Other shows of note ending this month in 1999 are on May 4 - NewsRadio (1995-1999), May 12 - The Nanny (1993-1999), May 24 - Mad About You (1992-1999), May 24 - Melrose Place (1992-1999). Microsoft releases Windows 98 Second Edition to the world and Bluetooth was first announced. Capcom unleashes Street Fighter Alpha 3 on PSOne and Dreamcast, Namco puts out the 4th installment in the Ridge Racer series with Ridge Racer Type 4 on PSOne, Nintendo rides high in May with Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 being the top selling game of the month and the release of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on Gameboy Color. We, well Europeans, saw the release of Castlevania on the N64. In music the Backstreet Boys released their album Millennium. Sadly, we lost Owen Hart at the WWF Over the Edge Pay Per View. On news stands or possibly in your mailbox you might have seen the following issues 10 years ago: EGM #118 here Nintendo Power #120 here PSExtreme Volume 4 Issue 6 here Contributors to this section: azzardx Phillyman triverse Links to the other two parts: 1989 1994 **************************************** These files are in .CBR/.CBZ Format You will need Comic Book Reader installed on your computer to read this file. ****************************************

  19. Check out this article from kotaku.com on a NES mouse. Apparently it is just as annoying and uncomfortable as it looks.
  20. Anyone ever hear of the site RetrowareTV? If not, check it out, they have a segment on old video game magazines with video 12-2 there in the middle of the page. http://www.retrowaretv.com/home/RWTVEpisod...47/Default.aspx

MBJ counterattacks with a Fist of Doom (3 str) and kills you! MBJ gets 1 frag(s) (0 stolen from you). Nice job getting yourself killed! 24. First up, Prince turned down Activision for a chance to include his music in the game, check out Kotaku.com for the full story. Has something to do with actually wanting people to learn to play the guitar. The other part of that Double P in the title is Pink. VG247.com has the update on Pink and a bunch of other tracks coming to Guitar Hero: World Tour.
