  1. You can play Left 4 Dead for free for 24 hours this weekend thanks to Steam. They have the option to pre-load the game now so that you are ready for the freeplay time. Fire up your Steam client and check it out. In other Steam news, you can get the Dawn of War 2 soundtrack for free too.
  2. Motorstorm is coming too. Thanks again to Kotaku.com
  3. I am beginning to think they really mean it that the Elder Scrolls game is really, for sure, no doubt about it, cancelled. :(
  4. Check out Kotaku.com for the reason this won't be on the Wii, at all, so far.
  5. Kotaku.com has a real funny article on how to quit your job, as a programmer for 2K Games in Australia has demonstrated.
  6. Tekken 6 according to IGN.com. Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. Yep. Things are looking better, for fighting fans. I still want my Elder Scrolls game that got cancelled and where is Gran Turismo Portable or whatever it was called?
  7. I am sure we have some zingers floating around here that would be better suited for that...
  8. One drop can cause a ripple seen for miles (or something like that).
  9. Wow! Thanks. I forgot about posting stuff to youtube as a viable storage option (do they still destroy the resolution of the video?).
  10. Early reports on this one say the enemy in the strategy parts doesn't really do anything. Just a heads up on it. I am interested in it, partly because I had heard nothing about this game and well, Infinity Interactive has a lock on these types of games.
  11. By the same people that did Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords and Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, Infinite Interactive, comes Puzzle Kingdoms. You can get Puzzle Kingdoms on Steam for $19.99. Fileplanet has the demo for the PC version. Puzzle Kingdoms is coming out on PC, Wii and DS at the moment (no PSP release on this one either).
  12. Looks like they are releasing Banjo Tooie tomorrow, the 29th, thanks to crunchgear.com. Also, Max Payne 1 and 2 are on Xbox Live now under the Originals section. Kotaku.com covered this one. Both Max Payne 1 and 2 are 1200 Microsoft Points.
  13. A lot of info in this article for those interested in the makings of the original Playstation system, including a pretty rare pic of the prototype that was an SNES and CD-Rom unit together: http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/the-ma...-of-playstation
  14. Check out kotaku.com for this one: A portable NES, with TV output, compatibility with real NES carts, two wireless controllers and a wireless light gun for about $60. Not bad.
  15. Here are the various Nintendo downloads this week: Nobunaga's Ambition is on the Virtual Console weighing in at 800 points (when are they going to release Gemfire?). DSiWare has picked up two offerings this week, Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics (500 points) and Paper Airplane Chase (200 points). And WiiWare picks up a former European only Gamecube title, Cocoto Platform Jumper from Neko Entertainment (700 points). Thanks to kotaku.com for the heads up on these.
  16. Cyber Troopers Virtual On Oratorio Tangram (1200 Microsoft Points), The Maw game add-on (100 Microsoft Points) and Sorry!(800 Microsoft Points) are all coming to XBox Live this week. Enjoy. Here is a Kotaku.com story on how to mod an Xbox controller for ultimate Virtual On usage. http://kotaku.com/5223918/how-to-best-play...-xbox-360-style
  17. It is gone now, but for a short while you could goto www.espn.com and do the infamous Konami code (up, up, down, down, b, a, enter-used to be start but a keyboard doesn't have that key) and you would be given something unique like in the picture below: Here is a link to Kotaku.com for more info on the trick. http://kotaku.com/5230185/the-konami-code-...espncom-magical The trick has been remedied and no longer works but, thanks to person on the responses there to the story on Kotaku.com, you can goto this link and enjoy it.
  18. Here is some coverage from Kotaku.com for Marvel VS. Capcom 2: http://kotaku.com/5230501/marvel-vs-capcom...vs-new-graphics It is just discussing some of the graphics enhancements available. If you don't want to bother clicking here is the main pic of the article: http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/8445/mvcgraphics01.jpg
  19. Nothing to be sorry about, this is a serious question, not a 'hey' or something else single word response. At the moment, it is anything with a 2000 date on it. We are working on it still but just for clarification, if it has 2000 or newer on the cover, I would hold off on uploading it. You can scan it and all of that but it just can't be uploaded right now.
  20. Over on Capcom-Unity.com (Capcom's website) they had a poll asking what the fans wanted, this won I believe but everyone was saying there was no way Capcom would release it due to licensing. Guess they were wrong.
  21. Just a personal preference here but I would shave just a little more on the left sides there so that it takes up the full screen and shows no magazine edges. Otherwise they are good looking.
