  1. There are rumors going around the news sites that Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil: Director's Cut and Metal Gear Solid are all coming to the US PSN soon, along with a bunch more.
  2. I knew it had something to do with the contracts that Nintendo had the licensees sign (I read Game Over many times and it just kept getting more interesting). Very interesting indeed. Maybe someone could set up an article about this or something and pick out any points in early magazines talking about it (I remember EGM mentioning it here and there, or it may have bee in interviews).
  3. Thanks for clearing that up E-Day. Another interesting fact is that the Amiga and Atari ST computers were extremely big in Europe while only flopping around like fish out of water in the US.
  4. Calm down, no need to cry. Just back your info up to a second hard drive then send in your system. When it comes back, put your stuff back on the system (if it is indeed deleted). You can use an USB external hard drive for this. If you don't have that, you can get a USB enclosure at most electronics stores for about $30 to $50 (a rip off when a several hundred gigabyte external hard drive is about $80 to $100, but you can use a hard drive you have around the house).
  5. The below is thanks to nintendoeverything.com: Nintendo DSiWare Dr. Mario Express (Nintendo, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Nintendo DSi Points™): Mario once again dons his stethoscope to battle the forces of illness in this downloadable version of the classic puzzle game. WiiWare CRYSTAL DEFENDERS R1 (SQUARE ENIX, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone – Mild Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points™): In CRYSTAL DEFENDERS R1, you must deploy various units such as Soldiers and Black Mages to stop wave after wave of encroaching monsters from escaping the area with your party’s crystals. There are many different types of units to choose from, some specializing in powerful short-range attacks, some wielding far-reaching magicks, and still others equipped with bows that enable them to bring down aerial foes. Deploy units in strategic locations to take full advantage of their traits. Each time an enemy breaches your defenses and reaches a map’s exit, your party will lose crystals. When all your crystals are gone, the game is over. CRYSTAL DEFENDERS R1 comes complete with a plethora of exciting stages, each varying in layout and difficulty. Can you defend them all without losing a single crystal? Virtual Console Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone – Mild Cartoon Violence, 900 Wii Points): The once-quiet town of Xenobia is under attack from fierce and gruesome monsters. As Leo, it’s up to you to save Xenobia from danger as you navigate through a series of worlds in a race against time. Use your sword and jumping abilities to battle foes. Watch for power-ups that will increase your health and add to the amount of time you have to complete your missions. Go it alone or play co-op with a friend who can take the role of Priscilla. Do you have what it takes to save the world?
  6. Wasn't part of the problem with the SMS the fact that Sega felt they had to publish every game for it, therefore giving the illusion that there was no 3rd party support?
  7. Awesome! Thanks Thor! It is always great to see another #1 issue be made available.
  8. Yes, I do. I am mainly wanting the Gamefan/Gamer's Republics so if someone else wants anything I have asked for then by all means, send it to them instead (believe me, I have a backlog that my kids will probably be fulfilling).
  9. Gnome's Lair picked up the latest news update today, why not head over and take a look at it and leave some comments! http://www.gnomeslair.com/2009/04/nice-lit...ice-little.html
  10. It is amazing the amount of 'conveniences' that people get charged for nowadays. It is rediculously out of hand honestly.
  11. If not too much trouble can you give me a quote for the PSM and PSExtreme issues as well with the others there? PSM: 1/4 Dec 97 2/4 Jan 98 19 Mar 99 20 Apr 99 21 May 99 22 Jun 99 23 Jul 99 24 Aug 99 25 Sep 99 28 Dec 99 PSExtreme: 1/4 Feb/Mar 96 Also, can you PM me your paypal info so I can pay you? Thanks.
  12. I am trying to gather up sales info for the 25+ mature titles on the Wii and so far, they are not good. Here is a site that seems to have numbers for most games. I am not just going by one site though, I am trying to find other info on the sales but it is tough to find. http://www.vgchartz.com/
  13. After customs and shipping it comes down to about $5 or so per pound to be shipped across the border to Canada with the USPS. You can try other shipping like USP, FedEx and DHL but they are about the same (FedEX I think was cheaper but the receiver ends up paying customs on the items so it still comes out high).
  14. If no one else wants the EGM2's I will take them. Just shoot me a quote for shipping on them.
  15. The 3D GTA's bore me too, I have the collectors set of the first 2 with expansions and play those regularly and enjoy them quite a lot. I don't know, there is something about the 3D ones that just turns me off.
  16. If I came off as harsh or rude, I aplogise that is not the intention.
  17. I am not sure where the "vitriolic level" comment is aimed. I am just asking about your comment about ROM's being legal and then providing what I thought was the proof you were referencing.
  18. First of all, I completely understand how hard it can be to let go of issues. Second, I want to thank you for offering up your collection like this to the members here on Retromags.com My zip is 72837, what would the shipping be for the below issues? Gamer's Republic 24 May 2000 Gamefan 5/6 June 1997 Gamefan 6/2 February 1998 Gamefan 6/8 August 1998 I have many of the Gamefan issues already but I would like to get 5/6 (I have a copy but a second in better condition would be great), 6/2 (I don't have this one) and 6/8 (I don't have this one). Let me know whenever you get a chance.
  19. Xterra, please take a look at the link below and let me know if that is what you were talking about: http://www.retromags.com/forums/Roms-Legal-t3130.html
  20. Rapidshare gives me hell when trying to upload using Opera, I have to usually load up Firefox to upload to it. Maybe something like that is your problem.
  21. Could you please post a link to the news item somewhere? That is something that would be very interesting indeed to be able to read.
  22. Xterra, we try to refrain from discussing ROM's here. It is not legal, unless there has been a law change. If you don't mind throw a scan of the cover up so we can see it. Thanks.
  23. Retromags Weekly Update Week Ending 04/18/2009 Next Generation #20 here PSM Issue #02 here Video Games & Computer Entertainment July 1990 here Contributors this Week: Phillyman TresHombres triverse Please feel free to thank our contributors by using the comment system in the Download Manager! Special Notice Just in case there are a few members here that do not know, Retromags is making magazines available in CBR/CBZ format first and primarily in this format. There is only so much webspace available, which is not cheap, and with the increase in width of the releases from 1280 to 1440, space is even more at a premium. Therefore, we limit official releases (the ones you will most likely find here) to CBR/CBZ only, while there are PDF format releases available, those are secondary releases. They are not, nor will they be, the primary format here at Retromags. If you want to release a PDF format issue, then please by all means, go ahead, but if there is not a CBR/CBZ format release already please be aware that the PDF version will be withheld till one is made available. We do sincerely apologise if this is bothersome to any members, this is not meant to upset anyone in any way. Now that that is out of the way, go download some mags, post in the forums, do something and have fun doing it!
  24. They nail you on the customs charges for it crossing national borders.
  25.
