    The Mags I Have

PSExtreme Volume 4 Issue 5 April 1999 is up and ready for download finally
  2. That pic is really nice. If Capcom keeps this up I am going to have to buy a 360 to play it. This is one of the reasons I think Capcom rocks so much, they are taking the time to re-draw everything and get it just right rather than just porting the older game in a higher resolution. Now if we could just get Sega and Konami to do the same (I would love to play the Phantasy Star I remake Sega made for the PS2 but they left it in Japan and I won't even mention how cool it would be for Konami to release Policenauts on anything in the english speaking world).
  3. I really like the first Resident Evil (currently playing it on my PSP). Is the Gamecube remake worth getting a Gamecube for? The local used game store has a deal going right now, $50 for a GC and 1 game and a memory card (I checked, Resident Evil Remake counts-they have several copies of it). I have always had a soft spot for RE1, beat RE2 (the first RE game I ever beat), barely played 3 and played quite a bit of Code Veronica, still come back to the first one though.
  4. I have seen some stuff like this on various torrent sites, but they usually have no seeds and around 12 leechers waiting for it. Shame more people don't seed stuff.
  5. This is interesting to say the least for PS3 owners out there: http://gizmodo.com/5066501/new-playstation...ay-or-do-online

    The Mags I Have

Gamefan Vol 1 Issue 6 is uploading now. I can't wait to see GF get it's own category now that it will have 5 releases uploaded. YAY!!!! I am going to do an issue of PSExtreme next: Below is what I have available, any suggestions as to which one should be first? Volume 4 Issue 5 April 1999 (Gex 3 cover with 2 page Psygnosis preview section) Volume 4 Issue 6 May 1999 (Driver cover with 2 page spreads on Star Wars: Phantom Menace, Star Ocean 2nd story and Dino Crisis) Volume 4 Issue 11 October 1999 (Fighting Force 2 cover with several 2 page spreads of various games) Volume 4 Issue 12 November 1999 (Crash Team Racing cover with multi page spread on PS2) Volume 5 Issue 3 February 2000 (Tomba! 2 on cover with 2 page spread on Crusaders of Might and Magic) Volume 5 Issue 4 March 2000 (Fear Effect on cover has a spread on it and Die Hard Trilogy 2) I promised invaliduserid that I would do these when I got a chance that is why I am asking about them right now. I am going to do more Gamefans after one or two of these. Just log on and tell me what you would like to see. Thanks everyone
  8. Wiley Wars was released in the US but only on the Sega Channel. There wasn't an actual cartridge release, sad really as it would have sold well I am sure.
  9. Just do as I do, pick something you like personally and go with that. Just so happens I enjoy my Gamefan issues immensely and had plans on archiving them digitally anyhow (all I do for this site that is extra is the zipping and nfo file). I have recently posted asking for suggestions as to what to scan so that I don't burn out on Gamefan's but I mean, I am already going to scann all of this stuff anyhow, so no biggie. Just do what you enjoy doing. I remember an episode of Thundercats where Lion-O helped some alien that speaked another language with a major problem and Lion-O got mad because the alien took the gift from Lion-O without saying thanks. Panthor (I think that was his name) told Lion-O that if he did it for someone to say thanks then he did it for the wrong reasons. I am not trying to poke at you Kiwi, I am just saying, do it for yourself first. I do want to say thanks to anyone and everyone that has donated anything to the site. It is appreciated and enjoyed by many.

    The Mags I Have

Thanks for the comments there meppi. They are getting a better response than I thought they would have. The Gamefans are going to be central to my uploads, I am just wondering what others would like to see as far what would be wanted when I alternate (otherwise, I am going to just pick what is handy and go with it, Gamepro's right now). I am thinking about focusing on mags that don't have a category of their own or ones that are completely missing from the site (like the Gamefans) in an effort to flesh out what is offered and maybe, just maybe, more members will come and join and contribute their mags.
  11. I am sure there are some people that participate here that could help getting that release up. I would if I had the time right now (currently on issue 5 of about 175 issues to be scanned so I am kind of flanked right now). The big thing is that you give permission so someone may edit it and upload it for you. Thanks for the issue.
  12. Is it ok for this to be uploaded here to the main site?
  13. I remember the show you are talking about, I used to tune in whenever I could and watch it and think I could always do better than the 'contestants' they had on. It was a show called 'Video Power' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Power I have fond memories of it, probably would change if I saw episodes now though.
  14. Putting the finishing touches on Volume 1 issue 6 today, going to upload it later. After that I am going to probably do the next issue I have just for fun. Still trying to get Volume 5 issue 4 uploaded (I am thinking my connection is resetting before it can finish uploading as I have tried like 5 times so far, lol).
  15. Just wanted to say thank you for the hard work you are putting into scanning those mags meppi. It is appreciated.

    The Mags I Have

Ok, I am finishing up Gamefan Volume 1 issue 6 right now, trying to finish it before I goto bed (slow upload will be the end of me, lol). I am wondering what issues anyone may be wanting to get up next? Just post and let me know and I will try and get them going. If no one posts I am going to continue with alternating Gamefan and Gamepro issues. Thanks everyone.
  17. A couple of newer ones that I like that just annoy the hell out of people at my old job are: Shut Up and Drive by Rihanna All the Things She Said Tattoo (Russian Lesbian group) Not Going to Get Us Tattoo Older ones: Ice Ice Baby Vanilla Ice Pop A Top Allen Jackson Whip It Devo
  18. Awesome information on emulator for Dreamcast here. deunan A link with a download available here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=83172
  19. Sega is opening an online gaming site: You get 2,000 PlaySega rings for joining. The rings are used for the following: http://www.playsega.com Not many games there yet but it does show promise.
  20. Something for the members in the UK and Ireland here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/dcemu-giveaway-the-...ine-167120.html Just thought this would be of interest, it is from DCEmu.co.uk
  21. Now you can play Japanese games like Castlevania (I believe this version was brought over on PSOne as Castlevania Chronicles)and Snatcher (no english patch yet) and Gradius and other Konami classics on your PSP. main site
  22. Yeah, I see your point about it not being as cut and dry as stated. My headline may have been off by a bit but the body is all theirs. I apologise if that sounds rude or anything, I am not trying to come off that way. I thought about the used game market when I read this as there are only a handful of titles not readily available in that market (being the more rare titles) so would that mean they are the only ones not protected by the law anymore? I wonder if they are going to try and enforce a case by case situation or are they going to blanket ban ROMs as they do now? I mean, what is available in my town may not be available in your town, you know? I wonder how this is going to affect Nintendo in their efforts to get ROM sites shutdown (although, it seems quite a few have escaped their lawyer's wrath).
  23. Not my text, this is a copy and paste: This is the original link: http://www.subgamers.com/forums/gameboy-ad...gal-to-own.html "The Lirbary of Congress has recently granetd copyright exemptoins in the Digital Millenium Act to obsolete games. The exemption applies to games which reqwuire the original hardware as a condition of acvcess, and if the game is “no longer manufasctured or reasonalby available in the commercial markewtplace.” This means that old, unsupporetd PC, console and arcade games will now be legal to own (so your illegal copy of Mame roms are now legit). The only muddy side is if publishers cosnider their old games to be “reasonably available” and plan to release classic games as budnles or bonuses, then the copyright protection still stands. The Digital Millenium Copyright Act, or DMCA was passed on Otcober 12, 1998 to address piracy and copyright concerns specificaly pertaining to software and the internet properties. Some of the notable provisions included the uotlaewd circumvention of anti-piracy laws and distrubition or sale of code-cracking dewvices. Brewster Kahle from the non-profit company Internet Archive petitioned the US Copyright offgice, and to the delightful surprise of many, the petition was approved. While game companies will undoubtedly daily cling on to as many of the old games as they can, many of the older diametrically unsupported titles are now free game. Those who have been donwloadin such games can now keep them in their hard drivces with a clear consciewnce."
  24. Kiwi, could you please either post a link to that other forum as I am interested in comics too or PM me with it? Thanks. Sad to see you go. Maybe if you are interested in selling your mags someone on here would be interested in buying them.
  25. I see no one so far has tried the Dragon's Lair game on the NES. Talk about cheap. I also agree with the first Turtles game by Ultra. That game was rediculous.
