  1. I still have one of those A800XL's. Best machine Atari ever made in my opinion.
  2. Yeah ... crap really. I think they should've left the C-64 and Amiga alone to be remembered for what they were. They don't even look that great as far as I am concerned.
  3. These were all Meppi's contributions anyway and you can find them over at OoPA. Show some loving over at the guys who created them rather than at a warez site ....
  4. Well .... I am currently working with the owner of the Elecrtron site where you probably saw the cover scan recently. He only has low grade versions of some 10 issues of Your Computer in his archive and had a note asking for anyone with those mags to assist him in obtaining better scans. I am currently working to provide these as I have all bar one issue of the ones he needs. I'll see if I can obtain the cover of your particular issue for you.
  5. Sorry to say but I am missing that issue. I have issues on either side of Jul 83 but I remember throwing a few issues out because they had water damage so I'm thinking it was one of those issues unfortunately.
  6. I have a knee high pile of Your Computer magazines in my collection. I'll have a look through them and see if I have that particular issue.
  7. I had a HTPC but I ditched it in favor of the WDTV Live and I created a server to host the content. If I were buidling a HTPC again though I'd look at a bigger case like the Silverstone LC-17 to house more than 2 HDD's, a gruntier PSU and I wouldn't use the onboard intel VGA at all .... I'd install a Radeon 5450 silent as the AMD video cards are way, way more capable than intel's solution. Then I'd install a Hauppage TV card and use their MCE compatible remote. The extra HDD's are for recording content to rather than the boot HDD. Far less likely to get glitches that way.
  8. I have all the Gamepro's in PDF format but as I recently created my own site I have been more concerned about adding new content over there rather than retreads of RM's Gamepro mags in a PDF format. RM has always been CBR oriented. E-Day was correct ... I am the only one who has made PDF content available here anyway and those are all hosted on my personal MU account & not this sites dedicated account. I am currently on a 20GB/month datacap for my DSL but once I get shifted onto the 80GB plan I will start to upload content such as the Gamepro's over at OGM BTW ... if I were you and I wanted a magazine I'd be grabbing whatever version was available rather than spewing verbage at the site owners over the format. What we do isn't legal in any sense and there is NO GUARANTEE that specific content won't be pulled from the site with no notice given due to legal complications. Read into that what you will but I believe that at some point due to the iPad phenomenom that publishers will start to look at asserting their ownership rights as they realise they can make money themselves by providing digital versions of their mags. At that point sites like ours will become redundant. Or have a lot less content available.
  9. The only reason any PDF's are here at all is because I prefer the format and am hosting all the PDF content on my own Megaupload account. I now have my own website so I don't think anything much in the way of PDF content will be hosted here now but with people on usage plans etc I can understand E-Day sticking with cbr as it doubles usage having to post both types of content.
  10. Unfortunately no-one else here that contributes is either living in the UK or in Australia/New Zealand where the UK mags tended to be popular. I only have 3 or 4 issues of PSX mag as I never really got into PSX as I preferred the N64. I will be getting those up at some point as I work through my huge pile of mags.
  11. Yeah ... there are Odyssey and Odyssey 2 emulators but I haven't seen a v3 in my emu trawling .....
  12. I've heard of all of them and I think most have even been emulated in MESS or individual emulators ... the Bally Astrocade and Arcadia have ... not sure of the Odyssey 3 though ....
  13. I'd probably say... Gauntlet 2 (Arcade) Garrison (Amiga) Battlefield 1942 (PC) Soul Calibur (Dreamcast) Sould Blade (PSX) ... are ones that spring into my head straight away.
  14. File usually used to check your MAME Rom sets against the current MAME version etc to ensure they are up to date. Not sure what use it has re mags though.
  15. Note that in most cases the mags you can download from lemon64 torrents are pretty much raw scans many of which are 150dpi ... ergo ...not the greatest quality. Others are 150dpi OCR versions so they are searchable but again not the greatest quality. If you are just after grabbing that sort of thing because you want everything available then they're fine. I know ...I have everyhting released on torrents etc. But that's also the reason why I am scanning my own stuff ... because they don't really do justice to the mags in my opinion. Better than nothing though I guess...
  16. Well ... I haven't had any issues with Megaupload using Megamanager to upload files. The thing is .... who do you expect to pay for secondary mirrors? Everyone seems to want to get mags for free but not many front up with contributions and money for hosting isn't any different. Donations were pulled from here and weren't that great anyway from memory. Phillyman purchased an MU account for RM and E-Day inherited it. I personally purchased an MU account and have been using it to host the PDF content here and now over at OGM. I also have a Hotfile account and a Rapidshare account but I am terminating those due to higher costs than Megaupload and in the case of Rapidshare because of archaic "If a file isn't downloaded in 60 days we are automatically deleting it" restrictions. At some point the costs to E-Day and I become too much when you also take into account the purchase of scanners (in my case an A3 scanner), hosting costs for websites and also file hosting if we have to pay for additional hosts just because there are occasional issues with Megaupload.
