A few weeks ago I found one at TrU. I was on the GS waitlist but they took too long. Anyway I bought Mario and might get Rabbids and Scribble if I find a sale. Waiting for the new Rayman and then we'll see what else they release. I haven't opened it yet, thought I'd not spoil my Xmas gift to myself and it would force me to try and reduce the huge ass backlog I have of Wii, PS3, DS, 3DS, and Vita games. I buy WAY too much thanks to all the sales...

The kids wouldn't play CoD if they had to think. It's a bad game for bad players. HL2 would have been infinitely better without Steam. Loved HL1. Had high hopes for HL2 until I was forced to deal with that garbage bundled with it. Now I won't even game on PC anymore thanks to DRM and malware. They tried to 'protect' their software and lost customers instead.

Ha, I did the same thing as Spoon for my collection page. Took a pic of the first and last. Haven't gotten to read it yet. And it kinda sucks to only be left with GI because that mag focuses too much on crap and 360 stuff. I just want the Sony or Nin stuff from their dedicated mags. Would be nice if it were revived down the road. I practically had to beg for the last 2 issues because my sub ran out in Oct. Paying retail price for these mags wasn't gonna work either. I've paid for entire years for the same price it would cost to have 2 issues sent to me. I have like the first year or 3 of NP and then all since the Wii. Missed most of the SNES, N64, and GC years. Was getting other mags during that time. So how long until you do scan it for the site? Dunno your policy on discontinued mags. Or do you wanna wait and see if it's really gone?

My lists aren't public because nobody that could buy me games would have a clue what to get or where to go for the best price. Today I got Sports Champs 2 for $10, NFS MW for $30, LBP Karting for $25, and hopefully MoH for $25 in a few hours. I'm waiting to see if Mario U, RE6 (maybe), AC3, Hitman, Sonic Racing 2, or PS All Stars fall into my $30 range this weekend. 'Might' splurge on Mario just so I have a game to go with the U that should arrive next week.

I wouldn't expect much. My mags are pretty beat but other than nostalgia value there's nothing new to read. At least games can be enjoyed many times over the years, they'll hold some value. I've debated on what to do with all mine. Do I find room and keep 'em for the hell of it? Do I junk 'em to free up space? Many of them aren't ready for you guys to scan, they're too new. The only mag with any kind of protection is my NP #1.

WTF?! I like mags so I can get away from the PC once in a while. Online has too many ads and crap too. I 'used' to subscribe to 3 mags. NP was the first to go and that sucks. Now this sucks harder because now I'm down to the one I like the least - GI. I only get it because it's required with GS's store card. Now I won't get mail every month. However I won't have to keep finding place to store them.

Funny you mention that because I own the GC versions and didn't want the trilogy when it launched. When I heard it became rare I figured I'd keep an eye out. And would you believe I found it, on vacation, in a Kmart, for the normal $50 price? Sometimes you just stumble into deals. Same with Neptunia 2 on PS3. It was sold out online but there was a thing to put your name on a list in case some freed up. I forgot about it and some time later got a note saying there was a copy of the SE if I was interested. Seeing as they were $100+ on Ebay and my cost was half that (plus it was a game I wanted to play) I took the offer. A complete Tomba was on the used rack at EB years ago. $10 before the price shot up. Equally good deals at the same store for complete copies of the PS1 Lunar games.

My goal wasn't to find rare games, my collection developed from buying everything I wanted to play. By luck of the draw some of my games became valuable. I also don't do imports. Not sure I've heard of those games above. Of course, that's probably why you call them rare.

I started a list then realized that it was already as big as Areala's and was only 3 of my 32 or so platforms. You can see for yourself what's rare and what isn't. I've a lot of the same games she does. Also it hasn't been updated since Feb so I gotta take new pics to include the gold Wiimote Skyward Sword, the SE's of Hyperdimension Neptunia 1&2, Uncharted 3 SE that I won, and whatever else I've acquired since. We don't know how many units were available to order. Remember the mess for the Wii launch, my guess is they're cutting way back just to be safe. As for deals there's no way to know. Some stores may offer gift cards or bundle deals. The deals may be on games alone as it was for the Vita launch. And it's possible for gift cards to be received for the holidays.

I don't PO. It's better to wait and see who has the best launch deal. I would prefer the black one this time and don't know how soon I'll find one. With the backlog of current gen stuff there's no way I'll need a new platform in the next 2 years. Said the same about the Vita until the launch day B2G1's.

I disagree, Steam sucks. That program alone ruined HL2 for me and caused me to quit PC gaming. I will not put up with invasive DRM and malware like that. I just want the game, not hours of hoops to jump through. As for GS it must have been a new guy. They're all told what to say but most employees know what kind of customer they can skip. My local shops are pretty good at not trying to upsell me, I'm there often enough and they won't pester me if I say no. Hell I couldn't tell ya the last game I preordered. I wait for sales. Anyway the used games are hidden behind the counter but I've never had trouble getting the best copy. They've even let me take the manual out of the floor copy if the one I'm getting isn't complete.

Got the first 2. Wouldn't mind a pool table but they require a lot of room and a second player... I tell ya if you have any interest in a pin and got some cash to spare, Ebay might still have a bunch of them around. People need the cash and are clearing out what they can, meaning buyers have the advantage. Moreso if you're willing to put a little work into a fixer-upper. I got what I feel was a great deal on mine because it needed a little work and wasn't quite collectors quality new. Although if you want a brand new machine then those will cost a few extra. I'd love to have more if money and space wasn't an issue.

Typical Ebay. Any idiot can pick numbers at random but rarely are they in the ballpark with a price an item will actually sell for. I've seen rare games on Ebay sit for months because a seller assumes it's worth $100 or more. And they certainly aren't rare enough to fetch such a price or I'd consider buying them. Also the claim it's the only one on Ebay/online just means anyone else with one hasn't considered selling it. Unlikely it's one of a kind.

I don't think the U was the focus, it was a quick blurb while they mentioned all the other ways they plan to communicate after the mag ends. Problem is I don't use FB, never touched Twit, have no clue what Instagram or Swapnote are, I don't follow anything closely on YT, and haven't heard of direct broadcasts. I just want my friggin mag... Worse yet my sub ran out in Oct and they won't let me get the last 2 issues other than by paying newsstand prices. That's BS and I've sent them a note or two about it. On top of that I have a sub to PTOM and the price went up $5. Really? This is how they're trying to keep print media alive?

That's why my backlog is so large, I try to finish games before starting another. There's special cases, games like RB or some racing games where you aren't going to play straight through, and since there's no major story you can jump between games. Now when I say finish, that varies as many times I just play until I see the credits for the first time. Multiple characters, 100%, plat trophy, or online isn't a requirement for me. That's only if I wanna keep going. Even DLC I won't always bother with. Retro games are meant to be played in one sitting but often if I'm just killing time I'll play until a game over and then go to something else.

I tell ya, I'm pretty good at dodging commercials so while I don't recognize most of these, some do ring a bell. Even today I hardly see any. Quite odd those Japanese ads...

Well I have everything else from them so this too will find its way to my collection someday. Even if just for their first party titles. But the big question is, when? Will I see a deal I don't want to miss? Will there be a huge sale on new launch games like the Vita had? Will I conquer enough of the backlog to want to add yet another to the pile? I said no on the Vita up until a week before launch so you never know. At the moment I'm not planning on preordering or waiting in line. I almost never PO anyway, rather shop for the best deal rather than guarantee an expensive sale.

I try not to repurchase games I own on the PS2 and I've already finished 1, 3, and 4. It's a good game but not necessarily a fave so I might hold off on this one. I did however pick up the Sly, Ico, and R&C collections because I can see myself replaying those and they were found cheap. I also got the PoP and GoW Origins collections since I haven't played those before.

Forgot I posted here. It's weird to read what I wrote, because after seeing some deals on the Vita and games too I bought one at launch. And wouldn't you know it, we have few games and useless updates. I think I've gotten one game besides the 7 I got during the launch (it was B2G1) and the rest were delayed or disappeared. I've finished half of them, but since my PS3 backlog is the biggest I really haven't cranked through the Vita, DS, or 3DS backlogs like I'd do in years past. Nin proves that games sell portable systems, not fancy hardware alone.

Over short hair? Don't be silly. Humanity has done worse things and I've had to stop caring about what they do. A person could work themselves into depression if they did care.

I wish I knew more than HTML to lend a hand. A slightly darker skin would be so much better. What kind of features did you have in mind though? As a forum and archive it seems sufficient.

I might be a little weird here but I'm not a fan of shorter styles. Shoulder length is perfect.

You don't know how true that is. If it ain't broke... This is also why I hate updating my consoles and refused Steam when it forced bad updates on me.
