Zelda II is one of my favorites, right behind the original. I understand why most people don't like it, but it's an awesome game if you get used to it and give it a chance. Challenging, too. I've been thinking.. and I don't know if I much cared for the newer Zelda titles after Ocarina of Time. I liked Wind Waker and the DS version a lot, though.

This topic is Wii only, because there are so few online multiplayer Wii games. I'm trying to get more people together to play some games online. There are some options in your profile to share your Mario Kart friend code, XBOX Gamertag, PSN ID, etc.. Nintendo Repair Shop: http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/shopexd.asp?id=63&bc=no If you're really concerned and tried re-bending the pins already or just don't want to bother, it's just as much work to just open the NES and replace the pin connector. It's about $7-9 and readily available on eBay or at the Nintendo Repair Shop(which I recommend as they have a tutorial on how to do it). A couple of years ago I replaced mine and it works just like new. I love being able to go back to a system I've had for over 20 years and have it work almost every time. Then again, the connectors on the insides of the carts can wear and tear too which isn't replaceable.

Yeahhh... I just started playing my friend's copy of EC:Challenge on Sega CD and I cannot beat the first enemy I'm playing against. I've also read some moves list FAQs and it says it's almost impossible to actually pull off any of the finishers on computer opponents. I even have it on the easiest difficulty.

I keep beating this topic to a bloody pulp, but I guess I just have Splatterhouse fever. I should probably get that checked out.. That's a pretty good price on that fightstick. Gotta love newegg! I love Cammy, she's my main girl right now. I'd love to see Karin again, her moves were useful and she had some good combos. Skullo was sweet, too. I liked SFEX a lot, they tend to always leave it out of the SF timeline even though it was the first 3D SF game in the series. I didn't play much SFIII, I was in CA at the time and could only play it at arcades, where I would get my ass handed to me.. I hope they take out those badly animated anime cut scenes that they had in IV... I really would have much preferred anything else besides cheaply done anime. Now if it were on par with the SFII animated movie or even SFII V, I wouldn't have minded. It was so bad that I skipped watching everyone's ending. I still don't know the storyline and I've had the game for a while now.

I LOVE Splatterhouse games, the first two are kind of simple side-scrollers, but the third has some puzzle to it. This installment looks especially cool, jumping around everywhere, beating the living hell out of everything. I think Rick's body takes damage, too, which is awesome. That would be AWESOME! I'd love to see a badass Jennifer with the mask on! Think I might have an idea for a new drawing.. I hope they elaborate on the West Mansion's history... If you read Lovecraft's works, you'll know what I mean.

Man! I never played Challenge From the Dark Side, but it looks excellent! I'm gonna have to find that! The gore is like splatterpunk extreme, lol.

I'm a big fan of brightness/contrast as well as color correction. Brightening and then using contrast can help bring out weak lines(good or bad) which might make for a better overall scan and help find unnoticed creasing, etc.. I do like the yellowing a little bit, but at the same time it leaves the scans looking kind of dingy. I agree that that's how they originally look and so it's nice to keep that touch to an extent. Personal preference comes into play here, since there are no guidelines on newsprint coloration. That and I'm not a scanner, anyways. Yet. The way you guys are doing things right now is pretty good, so keep doing what you're doing!

I just realized I have a nice little set of gaming mags named Game-On! USA. Does anyone else have these or has heard of them? I used to love this magazine! Each issue has two comic series running in it each month,for a while it had a Samurai Showdown and Cammy comic, there were a couple of others, as well. The topics covered in the magazine itself are imports, incoming from Japan and games based on anime. I'll have to find them and check the dates, I may up them, as they're very cool magazines IMO. If anyone else has any, get at me! I'm missing a few issues.

I don't personally do this, and I almost ran into some jackass today who was doing just this and pulled out RIGHT in front of me. I don't understand it, and I feel it needs to be illegal everywhere. Are you serious? A demo of this was $30 TWO YEARS ago? Jake will be right then, they really will make millions. Getting as bad as Microsoft..

I love stuff like that! Before my time, but I love to see it. Such creativity and aesthetics back then. I really like the designs on carnival rides and details on old arcade machines like fortune tellers and things.

I had the chance to play the import of this game the other night and it's pretty fun! The stages were cool. I'd like a lot more characters, and it has the whole Capcom VS. fighting system which is kind of shallow, but overall I had a lot of fun playing as the Tatsunoko anime characters.
