  1. I hope they do it, there's no reason not to. They've recreated a lot of their classic games so far through WiiWare, hopefully it'll happen. I'll post any news about it that I come across!
  2. I'm thinking of buying a PS3 slim sometime, too. I really recommend getting a DS, it has some fun games. You'd be best off to buy a DSi, even though I don't like them. Mainly for the reason that they're phasing out the DS original and lites. Just sucks if you want to play GBA games and buy a DSi, because you can't.
  3. NES, I think I have 50 carts. If I could find my 2600 I had something like 72, not including doubles.
  4. HEY GUYS HOW'S IT GOING? I LOVE FINAL FANTASY Ii! Does anyone else here use SPCs? They're sounds files from SNES games. You can download a Winamp plug-in to play them with called SNESamp. Google it if interested! A site called Zophar's domain has an almost complete collection available.
  5. Before you do that, if you happen to have an N64 video cable, it will fit into the back of the SNES. The NES can hook up via an RCA cord(I think that's the correct term?) through the side. All you need is a red and yellow(or possibly white). Should save some cash if you happen to have any of those things lying around!
  6. Who else has major issues with the 360's controller? I can't stand the D-pad for anything other than selecting items or weapons. It's utterly useless for anything else. It seems like if I hit anything it wants to input for Up!! I've went through every possible step to try and fix it a bit, with no luck. I've sanded the edge, placed something inside the controller to make up for empty space, I've even sanded the D-Pad itself. Nothing helps. I'm even having trouble with the analog. It seems to work fine for 3-D games, looking around and all that, but for anything else it's touchy. I'm basically referring to Street Fighter IV. I can pull off Guile's Super move about 15% of the time, I have some trouble with charge characters because it seems like the analog wants to pick up other directions like the D-pad does. Can anyone recommend a good third party controller aside from the sticks and fight pad for Street Fighter? I'd like a good one that has the same layout as the standard 360 controller.
  7. News from GameSpot - http://www.gamespot.com/news/blogs/sidebar/909182374/27034942/daft-punk-mixing-up-dj-hero.html
  8. Good luck! I used to go to DeVry Long Beach before I had to move back home. I wish I could've finished my ECT course... I'm always really happy and impressed with people who go through all the work of finishing college. I really admire when people can stick to something so well and not get intimidated or overwhelmed and back out. I hope someday I can get the open time to go back.
  9. This is a cool ad. Check out what i just found on Google images. It's somewhat similar but River City Ransom(almost same series). I love all the old Nekketsu(Kunio-kun) games! Technos was on a roll back then!
  10. Dude! I can't wait for this! I can think of about 5 friends right off the bat who will probably want to become RetroMags members! This will be a pretty awesome achievent, nice idea!
  11. Here's some trivia for ya... Close to the end of River City Ransom, you fight the "Dragon Twins," and they enter to none other than the Double Dragon theme! I remember being pumped the first time I saw that! I don't think it's Billy and Jimmy, though. RCR is an excellent game if you haven't played through it yet. I recommend playing the original NES version first, but the GBA remake is awesome too. It's not exactly a DD clone, though it's similar. You can buy upgrades, collect money among other things unlike in DD where you level up.
  12. This game actually looks fun! I had a lot of fun with top-down racing games and the old GTAs, so this looks like a nice addition to a Dc collection for sure.
  13. The Dreamcast was a great system, I especially loved the graphics! The game library was pretty excellent, too. I never bought a DC new but I had a way of always finding them cheap, and my friend gave me his collection of 20 games for free when I bought his system from him for $25 back in '01. Another friend wanted to sell his to me for $5 but I already had one. I'm surprised no one mentioned Jet Grind Radio! I also really like Virtual On! Oratorio Tangram.
  14. Is that game good? I was kind of interested in buying it, myself.
  15. Yeah, I guess I'm pretty attached to it... plus it's buried in my closet. I will contribute some money though if there's one on eBay for RM.
  16. http://multiplayerbl...emouse-in-2010/ I posted this in Retro Gaming but it belongs here, too!
  17. The N64 and PS were kind of awkward systems sometimes.. the 64 with it's bad gif-ish flattened images and the playstation with it's always visible polygons. I never liked how almost all the 64 games made use of too many primary colors. It contributed to the whole "kid-friendly" feeling that people often talk about. I also didn't like how it had huge block polygons. The Playstation was just always "gritty" looking to me. Anyways, back to the topic. My favorite is always Super Mario World. I think I already posted this. After that I'd say SMB3, New, and then Mario 1 and SML2. I am impressed so far with Galaxy, but I haven't beaten it yet.
  18. http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/09/09/sonic-going-2d-and-hd-for-project-needlemouse-in-2010/ Has anyone else seen this yet?
  19. I have one, not best quality anymore, but it's here.. I'll see what I can do with it.
  20. I've been playing a lot of the girls. I love their kick moves and I can make combos pretty easily with them. Also Blanka, Fei-Long, Guile, and I'm trying to get better with the newer characters and Dhalsim, Vega and Gen. Mainly people I never really picked up enough before to get good with. To me this is the best SF game yet, and I say that as a long time fan of SSFIIT and SFA3. I played Ryu and Ken for a long time.. a few years. They're probably a couple of the most well rounded characters. Yeah, people get annoyed if you play as them a lot.. but a lot of the times you have to play as them just to keep up with some of these people online who either play all the time or are tournament players. I kind of started phasing out of the shotoclones as I started getting better with them. It got to where I knew their kick, punch, sweep and attack ranges and animations really well. They're definitely a good starting point, but be sure not to give up on the other characters altogether, because they're all surprisingly good if you learn how to use them. Still, feel free to add me if you want we don't have to play SF, I just like having friends on there. I only have 5, I think. I also have Halo 3 and Ghostbusters if anyone else plays those. I'm looking to expand my online games soon, I just set up a 12 month Live account.
  21. With that being said, add me on XBOX Live, ppl, so we can fight on SFIV!
  22. I think TMNT:HH for Gen looks better. I also think it controls better and the levels and music are a lot cooler.
  23. I hate VII ever since I beat it. All the hard work I put into the game for some generic FMV scene at the end? Not worth it. Ruined the game for me.
  24. To me, that always means 'time to play.'
