  1. I can't wait to buy a new EGM issue! I think he has a great vision and I hope it works out. He talks about gaming mags and their net counterparts needing to work in tandem, and I think that's definitely a good start. Just look at Nintendo Power and Club Nintendo, I think they're doing it well. I also think it would be pretty cool if you could upload the current issue to some form of media to be able to put it on an iPhone or similar device, or make a digital copy. I think he mentions that, as well. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Man, 1989 sure was a good year for July. Happy Independence Day everybody(from the US)!
  3. I'm not sure why but I wasn't big on Mononoke. I'll have to watch it again.. The Cat Returns! I forgot about that one!
  4. No crap? That's cool, I'll grab that even though I already have it. Thanks for the heads up! I had to send my 360 away for E74. >.< MS should really use more quality components, the rich jerks.
  5. This is sad! When I ehard this I thought it was fake again, people were saying he died about half a year ago, but this time it was real. We're losing good people all over the place. What the hell is going on?
  6. Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and My Neighbor Totoro They're just so fun and I love the characters and stories in those three the best.
  7. I didn't believe it at first. I heard about him being taken to the hospital and that shocked me, then this.. I'm a HUGE MJ fan and I was really looking forward to his future comebacks, needless to say I'm really really down today. At least where he's going people won't badger him. Maybe he'll finally have some more of the respect he deserves. "Baby, I'll stay, Heaven can wait.. No, if the angels took me from this earth, I would tell them bring me back to her! It's a chance I'll take, maybe I'll stay, Heaven can wait.. You're beautiful. Unthinkable- Me sitting up in the clouds and you are all alone! The time might come around when you'd be moving on.. I'd turn it all around and try to get back down to my baby girl!! Can't stand to see nobody kissin', touchin' her!! Couldn't take nobody loving you the way we were. What good would Heaven be, If the angels came for me I'd tell them no!!" - Heaven Can Wait, from Invincible, Michael Jackson
  8. Yeah. Paul was always pissed because MJ would give the rights away sometimes for them to be used in commercials.
  9. I'd be surprised if they got ANY sales in the US. He's not exactly King of Pop here anymore. Nobody really talks about him positively and he hasn't had a release in what, 7 years?
  10. They're coming out with a controller converter for your Wii that will allow use of old controllers. Check it if you don't already know- http://classicgaming.gamespy.com/View.php?...tail&id=399
  11. Yeeeahhh MJ! I don't care what anyone says, his music is pretty damn good. There, I said it. I like Michael Jackson's music. Maybe it'll be a combo of singing and dancing.
  12. Get a load of this.. http://asame2.web.infoseek.co.jp/mariof1.html TREACHEROUS!!
  13. I wish I had the money to pick up my preordered copy right now, but I don't! I'm on the edge of my seat! I've played the Wii version and it's pretty fun, but I can tell the 360 version is going to be killer and it's tearing me up not having it yet!! Thanks for sharing this, all I keep hearing about this game is good and I'm glad I'm going to have it soon!
  14. !!!! Can't wait til I get ahold of L4D! I just bought my 360 yesterday!
  15. Hah! I like that the teacher included, "May God have mercy on your soul," like in Billy Madison.
  16. HAHAHAH You can just imagine what that Oozinator kid grew up to do. Pogo balls were gnarly! What the hell..?
  17. If you have fun working out or being active, it helps keep you motivated, wanting to do thosefun activities more often than others. There was a point when all I did was sit around and play games(slowly happening again) but then I met a girl who enjoyed taking walks and things like that which were more active and she kind of gave me a new lifestyle. That kind of gave me a boost. I started remembering things I did outside as a kid and doing them again and actually having fun. Bike riding was one of them, swinging was another big one. I actually think swinging can be a decent workout if you get into it and pump hard with arms and legs. Good luck, and glad to hear you're progressing!
  18. Yeah man.. that stuffs sick. I saw some Oprah show one day and it was pretty gross. They picked it up and showed how it would look wrapped around your body. Actually, there's a lot of crap in our bodies that make me sick.. Gross.
  19. The only Ultima I really played was VII and I didn't like it. It kind of put me off from the whole Ultima series. That and the perspective kind of bugs me. Looking at screenshots, I bet I'd like Ultima IV... I'll try it.
  20. Ghostbusters for X360. I'll have it in my 'possession' today! It's like the Ghostbusters game I've always wanted but never had.
  21. Some of these aren't really from the time period, just something I was listening to while playing the game. Final Fantasy III(VI) - Journey's Greatest Hits (was listening to it while I played it first time through) EarthBound - Blues Traveler(Reminds me of the Runaway Five) Super Mario World - AC/DC Mario RPG - Doggystyle, Snoop Dogg Ducktales - Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers Puggsy - Michael Jackson music Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - duh? I'm sure there are more. Good topic!
  22. Link's Awakening was great! I love the feather. LttP is definitely one of my favorites too. Made me buy an SNES.
  23. AMERICAN GLADIATORS! The new show just doesn't live up to the classic! That stuff was pretty sweet! Baseball, basketball. They were so major and hyped back then. Now they're just kinda so-so. Heck yeah for McDonalds. I mean, just look at these toys: http://sydlexia.com/happymealprizes1.htm And where the hell did the Happy Meal cookies go? Where the hell did Ronald McDonald's friends go?? Lego was great back then.. Lite Brite too. Toys in general were a bit more fun than they are now, in my opinion. I was also a kid then, so maybe a bit biased. Board games!!! The boards looked better with nicer, quality artwork, and they put more time and thought into them. These days they just sort of manufacture the same few with different special editions. Computers and programming. Windows has made so many people unaware of what their computers are actually doing while they stare at the screen.
