  1. I'm asking because I have plenty of magazines from 2010 onward that I would love to donate, however, the website says that they are not allowed. If you can tell me the answer, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
  2. I have the following available in various qualities and I am happy to provide more information to anyone interested. Prices are negotiable. I collected / bought all of these myself as a kid. I'm only interested in selling and am more interested in selling to people ready/able/willing to scan for posterity. 3. I wasn't sure if this warranted a new thread, but in the interest of keeping things organized for everyone, I'm posting this here anyway. I've been in the process of selling off much of my retro game collection, and a portion of that is a small stack of magazines. Of the ones I have, two are classified as "Missing" in the database. Nintendo Power Vol 128 Nintendo Power Vol 143 They are in good condition, and so I would like to donate them to the cause to be scanned. That is, if they are not already in anyone's possession waiting to be scanned. I do not want them back, so I do not care what method you use to take them apart and scan them - as long as they are good quality scans, of course! I would prefer to ship inside the United States, but that is only a preference. If anyone is interested, feel free to ask questions here or message me.
  4. I have issues: 168, 177, 190, 191, 199-202, 204-223, 229-252. I'm from southern Ontario
  5. Hey all, I joined RetroMags in hopes of finding an interview from a 2004 issue of Nintendo Power in which Nate Bihldorff discussed the process of localizing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I know that I once owned the issue in question but haven't been able to find my copy, so I would be tremendously grateful if someone familiar with the interview I'm describing could share scans with me or at least point me in the right direction to find the magazine in the database. Thank you!
  6. I'm new here, and I can't download recent issues of Nintendo Power or ANY issues of Nintendo Force because they're "Not Allowed". Any way I can get them?
  7. Hey guys, I'm looking for the last 7 issues of Nintendo Power, june 2012 to december 2012 (279-285) please let me know if anyone is interested in selling!

couldn't find a good place to post this. doesn't really warrant a new thread but wanted to share anyway. picked up the first issue of Nintendo Power off ebay the other day, and it got here today. i've looked at the scans a dozen times, but holding the actual issue in my hands gave me the infamous nostalgia blast. sat right down and read thru the whole thing for the 10000th time. that of course prompted me to play the NES (my favorite system). it was like being 8 years old all over again. but this time with beer.
  9. Ever since I setup my NAS, I've been spending a bit of time each weekend archiving various forms of media that I've collected over the years. At my most recent job, I was tasked to code a web-based ePub reader for a publishing company that required me to learn a bit about the ePub specification. As a result of my research, and as an experimental project, I decided to take Nintendo Power, Issue 1, and create an ePub file from scratch. It turned out really good, and reading the magazine on my iPad with the native iBooks app is quite an experience. I was able to code a table of contents and started writing out all the text content of the magazine, for searching purposes, but only got a couple of pages deep before I realized how time-consuming that would be. It's still pretty cool, and creating the navigation document / metadata is pretty easy and interesting to do. If you're interested in downloading it, I have it hosted one of my blogs: http://code.mrslayer.com/making-epubs-from-scratch/
  10. I've decided to part ways with my beloved Nintendo Power collection. I always adored the magazines (especially the early issues) for such awesome, creative covers. I have about 82 issues, most of which are volumes 1-91. Most are in great shape but some have worn spines, small rips, etc. Volumes for Sale: 3, 5-6, 8-12, 14-19, 21-40, 42-65, 67-73, 76, 78, 80, 81,89, 91,126,261,283,284 Please email me which volume(s) you are interested in and a potential offer. I will reply with the condition of the volume(s) and we can discuss the final price. Note: I have these volumes but probably not going to sell them: 1,7,20,66,74,79,90 Most magazines do not have the poster but ask and I will confirm for you. I still have many posters loose and in good shape, so if interested ask for them (I will list them later). Thanks for looking! God bless!
  11. I've only just recently discovered this site, and I'd first like to thank Phillyman and anyone else responsible for offering these deep treasure troves of decades-old gaming memories. My personal Nintendo Power collection now covers everything from the beginning up through summer 2001, but it's around there where things drop off, unfortunately. I stumbled upon another archive site which covered me for all of 2000 and half of 2001, but issue #146 is the first blank spot. They have a few later issues, but more missing entries alternate with these up to #169 where they end. I won't link to the site at the moment in case that's against the rules, but I will obviously do if I'm informed it's okay. So, does anybody have leads on the remaining years of this beloved publication? I have to believe they're "out there" but torrents and Google searches bring back either nothing, or years-dead torrents. It's frustrating, as I'm sure some of you can agree. Any feedback on this would be appreciated. I'd obviously love to just have all the magazines in their physical form, as I'm beginning to really crave the stuff from my childhood as I get older. Cheers for reading and responding, and keep on gaming. ~
